USS VALKYRIE STATUS REPORT - 2390.11.29 by Ian Beacock
=====================================================================

Five Q are viciously ransacking the USS Valkyrie. Simple enough.

While the crew enjoyed a relatively calm morning on the ship, five Q
took it upon themselves to pay a visit to the crew. Hijinks have
ranged from adulterous affairs, to senior officers being used as
torpedoes, to cruel games being played with crewmembers.

The Captain's symbiot has been seperated from its host, and the CMO
and his nurse have switched bodies.

To make matters worse, a kroket army is being valiantly fought off by
ACONN Christian Kingsor and the hologram, Bahl.

And this torrent of madness shows no signs of letting up any time
soon.

====================================================================
USS Calhoun/Delta One Status Report by Adrian Rodd
====================================================================

The rescue mission was a successful, albeit costly one. Lieutenant
Summers had been infested with a non-corporeal, malevolent
"presence", which slowly attempted to take over her mind, igniting
and fuelling her most violent personality traits.

Commander Logix also fell victim to an unknown attacker, a computer
console having been reprogrammed to emit a shock pulse which caused
severe damage to the android.

As Lieutenant-Commander Harris sought to save the First Officer,
Summers assaulted Counsellor Yarel, the presence having finally
overcome her. Regaining a small measure of control, Summers fled
Delta One, heading for the swarm of alien ships holding position
nearby. With their help, she was rid of the "presence". . . but died
in the process.

She was revived, brought back to life and healed, as were Yarel and
Logix. With Captain Su likewise healed, the crew were now all up on
their feet and active. . .

Merely days later, on stardate 2390.11.27, a strange rift in space
was detected very close to Delta One. Tachyon and chronotron
particles were identified, leading the crew to assume it was some
kind of (motionless) temporal displacement rift. A tense moment
occurred when a ship drifted out. . . followed by astonishment as the
vessel was identified: the USS Gagarin, a Soyuz-class Federation
starship from the 2240s!

The ship was fully powered and seemingly undamaged, but sensors
determined those onboard were unconscious. The senior officers of
Delta One, having transported the wounded to Sickbay, gathered
quickly to decide on a course of action. . .

USS Odyssey Status Report by Guido Dorssers
=====================================================================

The USS Odyssey is currently docked at Pandora Station.

==============
 2390.12.07
==============

The USS Odyssey is still docked at Pandora Station for shore leave.
Lieutenant Commander Kroynian is still in coma in Sickbay and the
investigation of her attack is still continuing.

For a while the First Officer of the USS Odyssey, Lieutenant
Commander
T'Afek Sarin, has been confined to his quarters due to being the one
and only suspect shown on the visual logs. However, he was never
thought to have been the actual attacker as he had an alibi for not
having had a chance to have been in the turbolift at the time the
attack happened.

A while later it was discovered that the visual log had been tampered
with and that the actual attacker was no less then a character from a
holonovel. Due to this the Commanding Officer of Pandora Station,
Commander Jim Janssens, ordered the holodecks to be turned off and
ordered a staff meeting for the Pandora officers, requesting the
Odyssey officers to join them.

Additionally some other attacks and murders took place. At this
moment
it is still unknown if these events are related to the attack on
Pandora's First Officer or not.

Every month I'll be bringing you new stories, or articles, or self
written pieces, about Trek Tech, that's being used, developed, or
have plans to create. In this months edition, Intel is going to start
producing Nanotechnology, now whether, they'll start assimilating
people, I doubt it, but the article is very interesting.

=============
Episode One
=============

It were an exiting first few days and many things have happened.
First a small piece on the introduction of our contestants and then
we'll give you a short summery on the first few days.

=============
Introduction
=============

First one to be led into the house was supposed to be Matilda Burger,
but since none of us wanted to send anyone in after her, the producer
decided to put her in last position. Matilda was to be beamed into
the vessel as last one, when every exit was closed and every airlock
was sealed.

So, instead of second, Don Corleone went in as first contestant.
After a small strip search of this 28-year-old pilot, the producer
gained 9 type II phasers, 2 type IV phasers, 14 knifes in different
sizes, one 20th century Uzi, 4 different kinds of poison and a few
packs of C4. In Don's suitcase we found a small photon torpedo, so
Mister Corleone's luggage has also been confiscated.

Barf's managed to bribe his way past the check point and smuggled
aboard 67 suitcases. He took two rooms.. one for himself and another
one for his luggage..

Nanu was heard saying: "Who's first?" when she set her first step
into the BB freighter. But since Barf was rearranging his room and
Don was putting together a rifle from his lighter and pencil, noone
offered themselves.

As soon as K'wack put foot on the freighter he swore that he could
smell a Ferengi. The producer got scared and lifted a forcefield
around Barf's location. We hoped that K'wack wouldn't find the
Ferengi before the freighter got sealed.

Before we even knew it.. Cigam was already aboard.. How he did it, we
don't know.. he said something about using mirrors. He took a deck of
cards from his jacket and tried to make the Klingon pull a card from
the deck and then put it back again. K'wack was not amused by this
complete waste of time and managed to throw the Vulcan from one side
of the room to the other. Our medics assured that Cigam would be
fine.. as soon as he regained consciousness ..

The moment that Hexes walked onto the freighter, we knew that she
tried to read everyone's mind. All, except one.. Corleone already
knew about Hexes, after threatening to murder the producer, and came
prepared. Don put on his baseball cap with a built in
Betazoid-blocker. Joi was not amused and started to try and get on
Nanu's nerves..

Muchto Do walked onto the freighter with his engineering kit and
walked over to the first Jeffries tube in sight. It took him exactly
1 minute and 23 seconds to find something that was not completely in
alignment. The producers managed to predict this and created a
program to randomly put some configurations slightly out of
alignment. It was either that.. or have Do take apart the whole
ship..

Qwiz' entrance was different... to say the least. The fact that he
had even waited for his turn, had surprised the BB crew, but this was
unbelievable.

So unbelievable that we won't even tell or show you, since you
wouldn't believe the unbelievable and we, the crew, wouldn't want to
become a fictional program. We only show you.. the real life !

The crew continued to seal off the whole freighter and when it got
confirmed, we dimmed the lights in the BB freighter and beamed in
Matilda Burger. A loud cry was heard from the freighter as Matilda
got beamed in right in front of Corleone. A second later a gunshot
was heard and the crew jumped in.

The lifeless body of Matilda was found, with a small piece of cloth
place over her face. We wouldn't want to loose viewers due to this.
After Matilda was thrown into the waste disposal unit, a small
investigating was started by the STC of the nearby station. Luckily
we were able to bribe this certain person, so we could get on with
the show.

And then Big Brother 90210 - The Space Edition, could finally start.
With 9.. *ahum* .. 8 wonderful contestants.

=============
Summary
=============

After the shocking event of the first night, the BB contestants were
granted 30 minutes on the holodeck to relax. The Klingon was not
amused when his simulation of a bloodbath suddenly got cancelled.
Muchto Do now has much to do, in order to get the holodeck fixed
again..

Don Corleone finally came out of shock in the middle of the night, 4
hours after the 'Burger' incident and then jumped into the sack with
Nanu. "Victim number 1 for Nanu", was heard, an hour later, in Nanu's
quarters as she put a stripe next to Don's name on the wall. Right
after that, Nanu left her quarters and went looking for the next
victim. Cigam luckily had regained his consciousness around 6 am the
next morning and picked himself up from the ground. Nanu was alert
and had found her second target. She was surprised as to how fast
Cigam followed her to her room, but it was probably due to the small
loss of memory that Cigam had suffered when he got thrown against the
wall.

Breakfast however was special. Qwiz had put a clone of himself aboard
the BB freighter and went off himself. The head producer wanted to
expel Qwiz from the game, but... well... let's just say that we now
have a new head producer.. since rabbits can't speak..
Breakfast however was in Paris this morning. Since the contestants
are not allowed off the freighter to visit Paris... Qwiz found it
funny as to bring Paris to the freighter.. Much to the surprise of
the three waiters that came along.

In the meanwhile Do was still working on the holodeck and Hexes was
trying to get into his mind. But getting on Do's nerves seemed to be
a lot harder then Joi had thought. "Only work work work.. in that
man's head..", was Joi's comment on this.

Breakfast however was the first time that K'wack laid his eyes upon
Barf. The Ferengi was seen grinning, but that soon faded away into a
slight whine, when K'wack started growling. "Please Mr. Klingon,
don't kill me", was Barf's plead for mercy as K'wack was holding the
Ferengi upside down above the pool with Ferengi-eating sharks. This
pool was specially made by Qwiz, who seemed to be enjoying himself.

After Hexes started to invade everyone's mind, the contestants
grabbed every bit of food they could get there hands on and fled to
their quarters, except for Don Corleone, who was still eating, and
Qwiz, who was playing with his sharks..

=============
Diary Room
=============

"Two down... many to go"
- Nanu Nanu

"What was I doing here again?"
- Cigam

"AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH"
- K'wack, who then gave Muchto Do some more work..

The Dairy was then closed for repairs..

==========================

Since one of the contestants failed to stay in the freighter, due to
death, there will be no kick-vote yet.

Tune in next time for another exiting edition of... Big Brother 90210
- The Space Edition !

Project Stargate by Mark van der Laan
====================================================================

Introduction
Space, the final frontier. Or is it? In a remote corner of the Alpha
Quadrant, a new and unique project has been started. Here, in the
distant Bel System we find a new type of star base, one unlike ever
seen before. This star base, wielding the codename 'Maelstrom',
utilizes the sun's power to create a rift in space, a vortex much
alike a wormhole, for a brief period of time, allowing whatever
passes through it to travel to any part of the galaxy, or even to
distant galaxies. These stories follow the adventures of its crew as
they travel towards new destinations, meeting new friends and
encountering new foes. These are the adventurers of the Star Gate.

 Main Characters
David Rolans:
Commanding Officer of the Maelstrom. A young terran StarFleet
officer. Though still inexperienced at being in command, he is
anything but naieve.

Captain Black:
Originally asigned to guide Commander Rolans to the Maelstrom, Black
turns out to be more than just an escort, always around to lend a
helping hand.

Jagh Ramen:
A trill with an almost immposible tranquility; Jagh is asigned as
David's first officer and tries to perform that duty at his best
ability.

Argol Manck:
A tall Cardassian with a grumpy attitude; Why exactly he got asigned
to the Maelstorm is still a mystery, but he seems to do his job well
so nobody's really complaining. Argol is in charge of station
security.

Anya Maras:
A bajoran woman who mans the science station; her knowledge seems
varied, and her social skills well developped, even though she can't
stand Manck, for obvious reasons...

Daniel Jackson:
A human in his thirties in charge of engineering. His skills are
average, but his ability to improvise more than makes up for it, and
he's one of the people who helped constructing the Central Reactor
and one of the few who understands it fully.

Doctor Ragg:
A Ferengi as cowardly as they come, yet Ragg's medical skills and
techniques rank among the finest in medical circles.

 Previously:
David Rolans, a young StarFleet officer, has recently been promoted
to command the star base that goes by the codename of "Maelstrom."
The young commanding officer knows little more about it than the
station's name and is taken there by the enigmatic Captain Black.

After following the captain through a stable wormhole he discovers
what Maelstrom really is: A very large starbase, engineered specially
to generate a stable wormhole.

The freshly appointed commander and his new staff are quickly faced
with their first crisis when the station's Central Core starts
overloading; luckily, with their combined effort, this disaster is
averted.

But then a cloaked Romulan Warbird is discovered near the station. A
coincidence...? Or more than that..?

The answer to that is never determined, as the Romulan ship decides
to make a quick exit when confronted with the threat of instant
anihilation...

Time passes and a starfleet admiral arrives on the Maelstrom, to
brief the crew of its first real mission...

Project Star Gate --- Chapter V --- 'To boldly go...'
                  by Mark van der Laan

"All readings are normal; Reactor core at optimum efficiency," Anya's
sweet voice anounced.

"Proceed to phase two," David ordered.

Phase two was initiated without trouble at all. The wormhole's
coordinates were entered into the station's computer system, which
would now in turn regulate the energy flow, opening a stable gateway
to their destination: an M-class planet in the delta quadrant.
Outside the Maelstrom a small assault vessel was waiting, ready to
enter the 'stargate' as soon as the doorway opened, with aboard a
highly skilled team of engineers and Admiral Kornokov, who would be
leading this first mission.

"Approaching moment of contact, all readings normal," Anya confirmed.

"Commander," Argol interrupted, "We have just lost contact with the
reactor control room, and sensors are detecting an intruder."

"Lock onto intruder with transporters," David hastily decided, "Beam
him out of there!"

"The reactor's disrupting the sensors too much, I can't get a lock."

David Rolans, commander of the Maelstrom, immediately responded to
this new threat, rising from his command chair and ordering the tall
Cardassian in charge of security to follow him with a security team.
He would not let the station's first real mission turn into failure,
not in front of a StarFleet admiral.

Luckily whoever had invaded the controle room hadn't bothered to seal
off the entrance, so they could storm into the room without any
trouble at all, finding the engineers all stunned, except for one, a
bald man, who was busy meddling with the central core's computer.

"Stop what you're doing right now and drop your gun!" David demanded.
Before the man could do so, Argol had already fired his phaser.
It was a good thing the phaser was set to stun, or the man would've
been vaporized on the spot; but given it was at its lowest setting,
all it did was partially stun the man.

Half stunned, the man spun around, holding a phaser himself.

"Drop it!" David commanded.

The bald man grinned back at him, then spun around in one fluid
motion, firing his phaser at the terminal behind him. Obviously, it
exploded. Argol reacted immediately, shooting the man again, this
time sending him unconscious. This time however, he changed shape as
well - and the bald engineer transformed into a ravenhaired, large
Romulan.

Rolans tapped his comm badge: "Rolans to command center. We've
captured the intruder but he's damaged the central computer. What is
our status?"

It took some time before a reply came, David assumed they were
running shipwide diagnostics. Meanwhile, the reactor core was
producing an eerie buzzing sound. Finally, it was Jagh Ramen who
responded: "Commander, we have a situation. We can't open the
wormhole yet the reactor is reaching critical. If we don't get this
up and running soon, we'll be obliterated."

And then there was a brilliant flash of light.

Time itself seemed to slow down at that moment and the next minutes
seemed like centuries filled with a strange awareness, everything
moving in slow motion. And then there was another flash and
everything was back to normal.

"Status!" he practically barked, tapping his badge again.

"All systems normal. Main reactor has been deactivated and
discharged."

"Commander?" - the voice had been Anya Maras' voice.

"What is it, Anya?"

"Sir, it seems that the reactor overload has caused a feedback on the
station, I'm not sure how it happened and I'm not sure if we can
reproduce it, but I've calculated three times and I'm pretty sure..."

"What is it, Anya?" David repeated, getting a little annoyed by the
needless explanation.

"Sir, we're not in the Alpha Quadrant anymore."

"We are...what?"

"In fact, commander, we're not even in our own galaxy anymore."
