USS Calhoun/Delta One Status Report by Adrian Rodd
=====================================================================
Stardate 2391.02.06
In a parallel, far more sinister universe, there is unrest on board
the United Empire of Planets starship USS Calhoun. A rebellious
movement grows in the shadows, spearheaded by First Officer Dawn
Summers and her (undeclared) husband John Hart.
When the rebellion breaks out, Captain Su and the forces loyal to her
are overwhelmed. Doctor Tobius and Ensign Bannerman join Summers'
side at the last moment. It seems only Lieutenants Dugall and Chris
Summers are still loyal to the Captain.
The aim of the rebellion is an unusual one: tired of the ongoing war
the UEP is slowly losing against the combined Klingon and Romulan
forces, the rebels wish to leave behind the life they have led so
far, and seek refuge somewhere new.
Eventually, while Summers is in command and Su is struggling to find
a way to retake the ship, the Calhoun, along with Captain Harris'
rebel ship USS Lion, shift to another universe - ours.
There, they find a space station - and a ship very similar to their
own. . .

Pandora Station Status Report by Bram Peeters and Mike Smith
=====================================================================
Pandora Station Status Report
Stardate 2391.01.16
To disable the attacking vessel (a Klingon Bird of Prey), the USS
Epimetheus needed help from Selar's vessel, but not all problems were
over yet. While Commander Sarin was talking to Selar, the alien
General noticed that Lt. Naragona and Ensign Roberts, both still on
the alien's vessel, had disappeared.
Where the two officers were, became apparent not long after. The
Delta Flyer the away team had used to travel to the Sitol system (and
which was still being analysed by the aliens) was launched into space
and the Flyer hailed the Epimetheus.
Lt. Naragona and Ens. Roberts had been kidnapped by another alien,
General Konmar, and they were being held hostage together with two
Ferengi from the Bird of Prey. Konmar threatened to kill his hostages
if Selar didn't turn over his vessel to Konmar again.
Several hours later, on the station, 'Lord' Baldrick escaped from the
brig. One guard was killed, a second guard died some time later in
sickbay from his injuries. Security teams were sent to deck 61
immediately to recapture the escaped prisoner.

USS Valkyrie Status Report by Mark van der Laan
=====================================================================
USS VALKYRIE STATUS REPORT - 2391.01.06:
By order of StarFleet Command, the Valkyrie's scheduled repairs have
been delayed for an unexpected urgent mission. The most critical
repairs will be made before departure, minor repairs will be made
en-route or when the mission is completed.
At approximately 75 light years from Bajor, close to the Ferengi
border lies the New Amsterdam Colony. Though originally a terran
colony, it has now become the home to a large population of Betazoid
colonists, Bajorans, and various other species as well. However now a
group of Cardassian refugees has arrived on the planet as well, and
to make matters worse they've landed close to the Bajoran colonists.
Tensions are already high, and because of the two races' past
history, the possibility of a bloody conflict is quite real. The New
Amsterdam government implored the Federation to mediate, and as a
result the USS Valkyrie is now about to be dispatched to do just
that.

Trivia by Guido Dorssers
=====================================================================
-------------------------
Da Trivia - Edition Two
-------------------------
I only received four sets of answers for last month's trivia. Seeing
Bram had all answers I don't think the questions were too hard. But I
have to admit for my trivia some searching the web is needed.
Personnally I do not think trivia questions of which you know the
answer by heart are much fun. In each case, not if you have all the
time to find the answers.
So, hear are the answers of last months questions:
1. Genesis
2. "Beam me up, Scotty"
3. New Orleans class
4. Unification, Part I
5. not toj tlhInganpu' (pronounced like not toj tlinganpoo)
6. Once they are turned on they cannot be turned off anymore.
7. Martin/Marcus Benbeck in 'The Masterpiece Society' (TNG);
unfortunately due to Bram's answer I found out that even Paramount
did not know his name for sure. Both were listed at startrek.com
8. Kirk to the Organian Council of Elder in 'Errand of Mercy' (TOS)
9. Mardah/Marta to Sisko in 'The Abandoned' (DS9); once again it
turned out that even Paramount didn't know the name of the character
for sure.
10. At March 03, 0300 GMT,
http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/stats/team/team_127658.html listed
the ST Frontier Fleet SETI@Home team with 4136 results.
Those answers give us the following winners:
4. Adrian Rodd (2 points; guessed 0 results)
3. David Susman (2 points; guessed more then 2 results)
2. Merijn Donders (7 points; guessed 4127 results)
1. Bram Peeters (11 points; guessed 4130)
Congratulations Bram !!
I hope this month we will have some more people trying to beat Bram.
;-)
The trivia consists out of 10 questions. 4 bonus points can be made
and the last question is to determine the winner in case of ties.
There are no prizes, but you will get honored by being the winner of
the trivia. Everyone can participate except for those having seen the
answers (which is only me right now).
Please send in your answers to stff-trivia@starbase12.cjb.net before
April 1, 0000 GMT. Everything coming in afterwards won't be counted
anymore.
Good luck and have fun!

Da Questions - Edition Two
----------------------------
1. "You'll find the answers, eventually, with enough time and study,
and the right sort of tools. That's what you believe, isn't it... as
a scientist?" What better quote to start this month's trivia with?
Who said it to who?
Bonus point for episode and series.
2. Who said "I'm a doctor, not a nightlight!". (Bonus point if you
also know when.)
3. The Klingons originated in the TOS first-season episode "Errand of
Mercy", which was written by Gene L. Coon. Who are the Klingons named
after?
4. In which movie played LeVar Burton in 1979 together with Paul
Sorvine, who could be seen in The Next Generation as Worf's adoptive
brother?
5. Which nickname does Worf have at the weekly poker game aboard the
Enterprise?
6. We all know the Butler Niles from the nanny, don't we? Which role
did he have in the StarTrek Universum? Additionally, I'm gonna give
you a bonus point if you know his real name and which role he had in
the Hunt for the Red October.
7. On which planet can the city New Manhattan be found?
8. Who said this to who? Bonus point for the episode and series.
"My mother taught me if you try to combine talking and eating, you'll
end up doing neither very well."
9. Where can the McKinley Park be found?
10. In case of ties, how many SETI units will have be analyzed by the
ST Frontier Fleet SETI team at April 4, 0400 GMT ?
