                     Acting Chief Editor's notes
=====================================================================
---------------------------------------------------------------------

The Chief Editor was a bit too busy moving to his new apartment so I
volunteered to do the Tribune of this month in his stead. This month
has even less articles than last month, so with the only contents
being the dutystation summaries, this newspaper now also serves as
the fleetwide status report, sort of.

While the summaries are excellent content for this newspaper, don't
hesitate to send articles to the Chief Editor (chiefeditor at
frontierfleet-dot-net) for next month's edition of the Tribune.

U.S.S. Valkyrie Status Report February 2006
by Rick Clogston and Jon Hardy
=====================================================================
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Stardate: 2392.07.12
Location: Within the Sirkovsky Expanse, between Breen and Federation
space.

The Valkyrie is currently in the Sirkovsky Expanse, near Breen space.
They are investigating a signal that appeared to be from the USS
Meade, a New Orleans class ship that disappeared during the Dominion
war. The search is going slowly, in part because of the large number
of anomalies in the expanse, and in part because of a war going on
between two non-Federation, but barely-warp-capable races known as
the Varnii and the Raq'hil. The Captain and FO are right now
contemplating going to Multi-Vector Search mode, and also the
possibility of sending the ship's Delta Flyer on to the far end of
the expanse with a series of probes. The various department heads are
preparing for these possibilities.

Filed by: Lt. JG X'ok PaRel, 2O/CSO

The Valkyrie has been sent to the Sirkovsky Expanse after reports
that the USS Meade - a ship believed lost during the Dominion War -
has been located somewhere within. The ship's mission is to find the
Meade and salvage her if possible and to any surviving crewmembers. A
plan to separate the Valkyrie and use MVA mode to search the Expanse
has been decided upon, and the crew are finalizing preparations
before commencing separation.

Also, 2O PaRel has put together a plan to also use the Brunhilde
during the search and rescue mission.

=====================================================================

Episode #26: The Mirror Crack'd
Stardate: 2392.07.09
Location: Moving away from Starbase 32

Crossing over from a parallel reality where the tight-fisted United
Empire of Planets is fighting a losing war against a loose alliance
of other galactic powers, several 'doubles' of Calhoun personnel have
infiltrated the ship. Replacing most of the Calhoun's senior staff,
the impostors have now seized the bridge, and control of the ship's
systems. They plan to take the transwarp vessel back to their reality,
where it would become a major asset in the war.

Meanwhile, the crewmembers who have been kidnapped and replaced have
been marooned in a mysteriously deserted city, and left to fend for
themselves.

Pandora Station Status Report February 2006
                           by Bram Peeters

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Episode #13: Under New Management
Stardate: 2392.07.07
Location: U.S.S. Solstice, which is docked at DS Delta One

The U.S.S. Solstice arrived at Deep Space Delta One on 2392.07.06,
and the crew enjoyed a day of shore leave on the starbase in the
Delta Quadrant. The next morning however, about a quarter of the
Solstice's crew didn't return to the ship and when Commander Jalando
tried to contact some of the missing crewmembers, they seemed to be
very unwilling to return. Lieutenant Vrass, Doctor Kato, Ensign
Cartwright, Ensign Mera and Ensign Bell have gone back to Delta One
to find the missing crewmembers and to determine what is going on
exactly. This isn't proving easy, as the few people they encountered
on Delta One so far don't seem to know anything about the Solstice's
crew.

On Pandora Station, Captain Kane asked reporter Darnena to find out
some more about the anti-transwarp protests, after they quieted down
rather suddenly. Darnena overheard some people talking about
something that was going to happen soon, but was nearly attacked by
them when they saw her, so the protesters' plan still remains a
mystery.

U.S.S. Odyssey Status Report February 2006
                           by Martin Miller
=====================================================================
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Stardate: 2392.05.05
Location: Docked at Pandora Station

The USS Odyssey is still at Pandora, under repairs after Captain
Bennek has been returned by the Valkyrie.

After a quick conference with the senior officers, promotions were
given out too, 2O/STC Leon Nerfertii, Couns. Healey, ACSO Creevel and
finally ASTC Harmondale. Captain Bennek issued the crew with there
new orders, to aide Outpost 11 along the neutral zone and following
that begin a patrolling duty of the Neutral Zone.

Stardate: 2392.07.07
Location: Near the Romulan Neutral zone

Arriving at Outpost 11, the crew have helped with various repairs and
are out collecting data for the Outpost to help them chart more of
the area, and keep up with new stellar bodies.

While the crew have been working, T'kella, the ambassador on board,
is heavily pregnant with Ensign Greystone's child, and while in this
state she has been giving off pheromones which has made some the
males on board react erratically. Because of this situation, T'Kella
has been confined too quarters and Bennek now carries a black eye as
he kissed her while under her influence, which Ensign Greystone
reacted too.

The crew have almost completed the sensor sweeps as asked by the
Outpost, so they are almost about ready to begin patrolling.

U.S.S. Atlantis Status Report February 2006
                         by Hanna Brunefeldt
=====================================================================
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Stardates: 2392.04.25 - .05.04, .06.24 - .07.05, current: 2392.07.12
Location: In close proximity of a Stellar Nursery, Gamma Quadrant

In between missions the crew of the Atlantis stayed docked at the
Frontier Fleet HQ: Pandora Station, partly due the ship's need for
repair since the last brush with Dominion ships and the even more
unusual subspace aliens' attack; and partly because they needed to
deliver the misplaced captains, Kane and Sarin and to pick up their
own: Captain Torn.

During the two months back in the Alpha Quadrant the crew of the
Atlantis seemed to enjoy some quite time aboard the ship, working on
their relationships and skills and spending time on the holodeck.
Lieutenant Fletcher underwent several intensive counseling sessions
while at the same time studying Operation procedures, successfully
qualifying himself to switch department.

The ship's only Romulan faced trials of a different kind, not only
did he need to struggle with an understaffed security department but
with his romantic relationship with one of the ship's spotty
counsellors, Miss Imala as well. Love is a complicated matter,
especially if you are in love with a stoic hologram. After having a
man-to-hologram talk with bartender Bart Mr Brown decided to continue
his courtship of the ship's EEH. The hologram's reaction towards him
could be described as tolerate at best. The matter of Brown's
impossible affection directed towards the hologram have affected more
people however, the ship's ACEO had an-almost-argument (Montgomery
left before things got heated) on the subject with his girlfriend,
Ensign Vil, with whom he lives together since a couple of months
back. Will the slightly pouchy man win the EEH's subroutines, and
will Montgomery stand his ground or give in to the whims of his
girlfriend/soul mate?

Lieutenants Jomorr and Andersson got drunk together and dressed up in
spandex costumes, posing as couple of Super-Heroes on the holodeck.
The drink they shared before seemed to have left almost complete
blank spots in their memory of their night together. What they do
remember are the hangovers they both woke up with the following day.
But that was not that all happened on the Atlantis that was connected
to alcohol, Ensign Ouder and Science Crewman Conyas found a crate of
fine Orion Brandy in a dusty Jefferies tube. Now, the question that
is on everyone's mind is: Who put it there? Someone must know, right?

The Atlantis left the starbase after just about a two months long
visit. While in transwarp heading deeper into the Gamma Quadrant, the
command team arranged for a party to be held in Five For, a party
that was sure to feature promotions.

Among the party crowd was Ensign Andrusia and Lieutenant Andersson.
No one knows for certain how but the two initiated a telepathic
connection when they touched. Andrusia, being half-Vulcan, and
Andersson being half-Betazoid, somehow found themselves down on the
planet, Delta Nuu IV, where Andrusia had gotten into a bar fight and
received serious reprimands for his violation of the Prime Directive.
All thought time seemed to pass in its normal pace in their shared
vision; the connection only lasted for a few seconds back in Five
For. The connection was severed just in time for Captain Torn's
speech to his crew.

The speech was followed by promotions. No less then four new
department heads where announced: Fletcher became Chief of Operations,
Kadar Chief Medical Officer and Lieutenant Rofellian was promoted to
Chief of the Tactical/Security department, all for their excellent
performance during the last mission. The fourth department head to be
promoted was Lieutenant Andersson, who also was promoted to the
ship's new Second Officer. Though she was trilled at first an
incident with a newly assigned Trill, Counsellor Vox, a few days
later caused them both to receive a grave warning from Commander
Velden. They were off for a rough start, Velden eventually assigned
them to work opposite shifts for the sake of the onboard unity and
peace, after cleaning up the coke stain in Five For's carpet that is.

On the distant world of Deasia III, Aid Master Blev Traa starts yet
another long, dangerous journey towards the home planet of the
Heltekans. A planet suffering from an atomic winter since 80 years,
caused by the previous generation of Deasians. Will they ever will be
able to repay their depth? Or will the rebel Pirates force them to
seize with the convoys, condemning the Heltekans to slowly diminish?

Not long after the convoy sets out on their mission a great number of
pirate ships moved in and attacked the convoy. Their greatness in
number make it an easy task for them to destroy the two escorting
warships and surround the convoy from all sides.

A distress call is sent out to the nearest ship, which just happened
to be the USS Atlantis, its crew is responding to their desperate
plea for help...

Public Relations Status Report February 2006
                          by Rob Versteegt
=====================================================================
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello all you happy FF'ers!

This February, we had a grand total of *7* signups! That's certainly
not the amount of signups we used to have (it had been as high as 21,
or even 24 a month!) although at the moment, I'm just glad we're
getting signups anyway. I don't need to remind you to vote every day,
now do I? (In case I do, go to this page:
http://www.frontierfleet.net/comm/vote and vote!)

Here is the short list of where these signups found us:

1: Looking around on the web.
1: Unknown.
4: Search Engine.
1: Voting sites.

Let me end this PR status report with saying that all is not lost!
Even though we have only a few signups (and we'll have to get more
next month! :P) the signups we did get were pretty good: two out of
the seven signups in February have already graduated from the Academy,
and a third is close to doing just that!

That's it for this status report. Until next month!
