USS Calhoun Status Report
March 2008
By Adrien Rodd
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EPISODE: #31, "The Relief of Becker IV" (2.05)

STARDATE: 2394.02.11
LOCATION: near the Becker system, outside Federation space

Teams on the moons are attempting to disable the planet's orbital defence
systems, so that the joint fleet can effectively rescue persons on the planet's
surface if need be. Meanwhile, the starship Courageous had reappeared one year
after its last encounter with the Calhoun. This time, Captain White has come to
turn herself over to the Federation and get her crew home, but not all her
officers may be happy to follow her. . . And what dangerous balancing act
exactly is the Cardassian Gul Prin trying to play?

USS Odyssey Status Report
March 2008
By Rob Versteegt
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mission #17: "Only Time Will Tell"

Stardate: 2393.09.03
Location: At Pandora Station

With the USS Odyssey returned to their own time, the aftermath of their
glance into the future became ever more clear. The Transwarp generators
were taken offline immediately, and pretty soon after that the entire
Frontier Fleet was forbidden from using transwarp, unless absolutely
necessary.
Captain Jalando took it upon himself to correct a few 'wrongs' in the
present day. He delivered a letter to Captain Sarin, visited his old friend
Leon Nerfertii -whom he asked to serve on the Odyssey again- tried to
'couple' the Valkyrie's CMO and FO. The latter was unsuccessful though,
leaving the Odyssey CO to doubt whether parts of the future could be
changed or not. . .

Mission # 18: "Wrath of the Gods"

Stardates: 2394.03.12 & 2394.03.13.
Location: In orbit of Planet M-667, over a lightyear from Starbase 157

The mission of the USS Odyssey was simple: to conduct high-resolution
sensor scans from a nebula, while using the newest available sensor
technology, which was installed in the Odyssey not all that long ago. This
mission though, was shelved for the moment, as the Odyssey got contacted by
Starbase 157. They had picked up a faint Romulan distress call from the
orbit of planet M-667: a planet, still in Federation space, home to a
pre-warp culture.

Immediately, the Odyssey set a course to the planet, and arrived there the
next day. A shuttle with new crew had also arrived from Starbase 157, and
thus the Odyssey once again had a CMO, CSO, and CEO. All of them were put
to work immediately, since the Romulan buoy, orbiting the planet M-667, and
which was still transmitting the faint distress call, was beamed on board
for study. What could have happened to the Romulans?

The Odyssey crew soon found out, after initiating high-resolution scans of
the planet surface. Some sort of feedback-pulse entered the computer
systems, and wreaked havoc. While the crew had been able to stop the pulse,
the damage had been done: the engines didn't work well enough to keep the
Odyssey in orbit. The Odyssey was crashing.

As the Odyssey crashlanded -in a controlled crash, thank goodness, but a
crash nonetheless- various villagers from a nearby settlement saw the ship
coming down: the second one in just a few days. They were now planning to
explore this. . . object from the sky.

On the Odyssey, the ship and crew were rocketed around as the ship hit a
mountain top, levelled countless of trees, skidded over the ground, and
finally came to a stop at the shore of a lake.

As the crew prepared to take a look at the damage and heal the injuries,
Captain Jalando ordered a senior staff meeting at 09.30 hours, to determine
how to go on from here. . .

USS Valkyrie Status Report
March 2008
By Rick Clogston
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After securing the Rak'hari ships and turning them over to Starfleet Command,
the Valkyrie limped back to Pandora station where it will undergo extensive
repairs. The Captain and the Operations Chief are preparing to have dinner
together. Head Nurse Lang is stressing out because her wife, "Mickie" Brewster,
has a dark secret and the new ACMO is Betazoid. The CMO, Dr. MacKenzie, is on
Earth attending her father's funeral and contemplating a career move that will
take her off the Valkyrie. The First Officer, Mr. PaRel, received a promotion
to Commander but is depressed because of Dr. MacKenzie's possible move. Captain
Jeff Jalando of the Odyssey has visited both to try and get them to rekindle
their romance, but apparently failed.

ASTC Foster was also promoted, to Lieutenant, for her heroism and creativity.
CONN Chief Emile Schofield survived his injuries, and he and Anita (and unborn
baby Pearl) have left on their long-delayed honeymoon. Of course, being the
Schofields, things went south before they ever got to Risa. Everybody else is
hanging out and enjoying the creature comforts of Pandora Station.

USS Atlantis Status Report
March 2008
By David Susman
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Episode 10 - Shell Game

Stardate: 2393.12.06
Location: In orbit of Tui Malila / The surface of Tui Malila / A nearby moon

The Atlantis has got the colonists to lower their
scattering field and is attempting a rescue of the
downed Borhyas. Negotiations are still at a
standstill.

The Away mission to Tui Malila-B has entered a wreck
near a magnetic anomaly.

The Engineering department is faced with faulty
supplies and a cranky Quatermaster.

A group of miners has been attacked in the swamps, one
member of the group has been killed.

A group of three colonists at Generator 3 has repaired
the damage found and is trying to get back to the
colony rather than face "Spindler's Monster".

Starfleet Academy Status Report
March 2008
By Rick Clogston
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We had 14 new signups in March! (And there's already one in April!!) Boy, it's
a good thing that Paramount hasn't sent a cease-and-desist letter, or anything
crazy like that. Ahem. Anyway, three of them were the same person, and eight
in total were rejected, but that means there are six, count 'em, six new cadets.
That makes a total of twelve currently being trained.

Thanks again for the new instructors, and of course for the ones who've been
here a while, and especially those of you who've taken on more than one cadet.
It is you and your skilful instruction that helps make this game strong.

We added two more graduates to the fleet as well:
Cadet James Dalton, played by Jim Pierre, becomes Ensign James Dalton, the new
ASTC of the USS Atlantis.
Cadet Bil West, played by William West, becomes Ensign Bil West, the new
Engineering officer aboard the USS Calhoun.

Submitted by RAdm. Charles David Clark, Commandant, Starfleet Academy

PR Status Report
February & March 2008
By Rob Verlinden
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As the PR guy I want to get more people to our website. The last two months I
found banner exchanges, which could give us potential players. We are now a
member in 15 exchanges. I have sent a list of new banner exchanges to the
webmaster. He will hopefully edit the website and show the new banner-exchanges
here: http://www.frontierfleet.com/comm/webrings

We already have some great banners for our fleet. You can have a look here:
http://banners.frontierfleet.com/ . But it's always good to have new ones. Do
you have a catchy idea for a banner, design it and send it to me or the
webmaster. Anything is welcome.

Additionally we have received an award this month. STvoyager.info made Frontier
Fleet the top site of the month April 2008. This award will be added on:
http://www.frontierfleet.com/comm/awards .

Amongst everybody that joined our game the last month, most used a search engine
to find us (no surprise there). I noticed however that some players were
recommended by friends. So tell all your friends about Frontier Fleet!! and
please keep on voting (http://www.frontierfleet.com/comm/vote ).

Legendary Post
By Rob Verlinden
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In 2003/2004 the Atlantis Command Team awarded a price to the best "Post of the
month". The last person to receive the award was Patrick Buidin. In August 2004
he was just joining; now he is sadly leaving the Atlantis. But he leaves his
stories and they will never go away. Enjoy this post!

Subject line: TAC/ASC Ensign Sigitar

(Tau Epsilon 4 - Beach - 2391.04.18, 0937)

"Mr Sigitar, why are you carrying half the armoury with you?" the FO asked
in looking at Sigitar's equipment..

" Well Sir, I wasn't aware of the real purpose of this Away Mission so I've
equipped myself to respond to any possible threat as Security Officers are
required for. Sir " he responded

The Cmdr shook his head with a sly grin and he turned to one of the officer
wearing a gold uniform "Mr Nefertii, may I present your newest assistant,
Ensign Sigitar. You may note that Mr Sigitar is equipped to provide
tactical support against about any threat."

Sigitar realized that the Cmdr was ironical about his equipment ~ Oh, Oh
Sigitar, like always you've acted in a hurry, you should have asked some
information's ~

His superior stepped up beside the FO , "I am your chief Lt. Cmdr. Leon
Nerfertii, its an honour to meet you Ensign, and that I had noted
Commander."

" The honour is shared Cmdr." Sigitar replied proudly

"Ensign if you would follow me."

" Aye, Sir." Sigitar said in following him, Nefertii walked across to the
large metallic crates and seemed to look for something "Ensign Sigitar, will
you help me find one of our security containers."

"Certainly Sir, how does it look like ? " he asked glad to be already very
useful.

"It has the word security on its side." the Cmdr explained, Sigitar began to
search amongst the crates, but with the phaser rifle hanging to his
shoulder, he was more than bother by it but he acted as he wasn't ~ I should
have brought a weapon less bulky " I've got it Sir, it just here." he stated

"That is good, There is an empty security container I would like you to put
the rifle in there," Nefertii pointed at the one just by his foot.

At the sound of his voice, Sigitar understood that it was more an order than
an invitation, it was reminding him the time as he was a child when his
father was making him observations.

"Wait one moment please..." the Cmdr tapped his badge, "Nerfertii to
Mecroll." While he was talking to the other TAC/ASC, Sigitar was looking at
the scenery, the water, the sand, the trees,.. The view was marvellous, it
was looking like the last vacation he had taken with his father on Risa.
Then in hearing the discussion between his Chief and Mecroll he realized
something ~ Wait a minute, that beach, the comments of the FO about my
equipment and now security team unarmed and without uniform, it's more
looking like holidays than an Away mission.~

The Cmdr turned back to him "Ensign Sigitar I wish for you to begin moving
the smaller Security containers to one side, as we are to begin to unpack
our equipment."

" Understood Sir, but first I think I own you some explanations, before
beaming down to the surface I should have asked what kind of Away Mission it
was so I could have chosen the appropriate equipment, I realize now that
it's disproportionate to the situation." Sigitar replied

(Reply Nefertii)

" One more thing Cmdr, when assigned to a starship I know it's customary to
report any weapons to the Chief of Security, it's concerning my whip, you've
certainly noticed it, it has been in the family since generations, it's
given from father to son, my father gave it to me when I've been graduated,
I know it's not standard equipment but it could be very useful in certain
situation, so I would like to know if you've see any objections that I wear
it." Sigitar asked

(Reply Nefertii)

" Understood Sir, where are we going to store our items Sir, I don't think
it would be advisable to leave it in the middle of the beach. I don't want
to bother you but what will be my occupation ?, is there a security
perimeter establish ? What will be our orders in case of trouble ?......" he
asked, questions coming one after one, it seems that nothing or no one
couldn't stop him.
